Qutb Minar is also spelled as Qutub Minar situated in Mahrauli area Delhi India. The tower was built by Muslim ruler Qutub-Din-Aibak in 1193. The tower was built as a victory symbol to celebrate Muslim dominance after defeat’s last Hindu ruler. The Qutub Minar hight is 73 meters. The tower reduces, and has a 14.3 meters (47 feet) base diameter, reducing to 2.7 meters (9 feet) at the top of the peak. It contains a winding staircase of 379 steps.
The construction of Qutub Minar started by Qutub-Ud-din Aibak, completed by Iltutmish.The last stories completed by Firoj Shah Tuglak.It is also listed under UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Delhi, a status given to it in 1993 for its historical significance and architectural brilliance.
